local agency would simply open the phone book and call another agency in

option was to fly a local court reporter to your deposition location and pass on the
cost of airfare and accommodations to you! In either event, lots of overhead
and expense was involved and very little quality control. In the late 90’s
there began a trend whereby publicly held corporations began to purchase
court reporting firms across the Country to create massive behemoths that
